Research and Performance Showcase

Each May, Elmhurst College hosts the Research and Performance Showcase, an event celebrating the academic achievements of our students in the areas of research, scholarship and creative work. Featuring posters, oral presentations, artwork and performances, the Showcase brings together students and faculty across campus.

CST offers Showcase Grants for faculty-student collaborations occurring during the academic year. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and awards of up to $500 for are possible. Past recipients have used grants for software, copying expenses, small equipment, travel to archives and office and scientific supplies.

Faculty Research Forum

The Faculty Research Forum is an opportunity for Elmhurst faculty members to share their recent research, scholarship and creative work with their colleagues. The forum is held once per term and features a series of short presentations from several faculty members. The forum is sponsored by Academic Affairs and the CST.  If interested in participating, contact the CST.

Faculty Women's Caucus

Faculty Women's Caucus (FWC) hosts a periodic Symposium on Scholarship and Creative Work featuring presentations by women faculty at Elmhurst. The next symposium is scheduled for May 2014.

ACCA Student Scholarship Symposium

Undergraduates at any of the fifteen colleges and universities that are members of the Associated Colleges of the Chicago Area are eligible to present at the Associated Colleges of the Chicago Area (ACCA) Student Scholarship Symposium.    The symposium is held each spring.  The 47th Annual ACCA Student Symposium will be held Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at Concordia University.

ACCA Scholarship of Pedagogy Symposium

The Scholarship of Pedagogy Symposium brings faculty from the ACCA institutions together to exchange ideas about improving undergraduate teaching and learning. This is an excellent opportunity to share your scholarship on college teaching and learning.  Elmhurst College is hosting the event in the 2013-2016 academic years.
