Undergraduate Research

Council on Undergraduate Research - An organization that promotes and supports undergraduate research.  Elmhurst College is an institutional member and thus EC faculty may sign up for a free membership. CUR also runs a variety of well known and well received workshops and institutes such as CUR Dialogues focusing on funding resources,   Beginning a Research Program in the Natural Sciences at a Predominantly Undergraduate Institution and Creative Inquiry in the Arts and Humanities.

  • Technology Information and resources available in the Faculty Technology Lab
  • Technology Support For Faculty from our A.C. Buehler Library - Support for using Blackboard, Desire2Learn and Moodle in teaching, preparing and using digital content for teaching, Microsoft office help, social networking, blogs, Google apps, copyright consultation.
  • Instructional Media Center - A/V equipment, smart rooms, video production, interactive rooms for distance education and equipment for checkout
  • The college has a large format plotter for posters in the Faculty Technology Lab. Information on using the plotter is available on the library's Poster Printing Resources page.
  • Varsity Buys is a site for discounted software for students, faculty and staff. The prices are especially good for Microsoft products, given the larger contract the college has with Microsoft. You need to identify yourself as a faculty/staff member in order to get the good prices. After this, create an account using a .edu e-mail address. Varsity Buys will send you a verification link and all you need to do is click to verify. In the future, this link will be immediately available on the portal in the Quick Links section, labeled Discounted Software.
