Conference Opportunities

  • Midwest Faculty Seminar
  • Based at the University of Chicago Center for Teaching and Learning, this seminar series brings together faculty from a consortium of private colleges in the Midwest for intensive study of an interdisciplinary topic. Our subscription includes the ability to send up to four faculty members per year to MFS seminars. If you would like to attend an upcoming conference, the current process is for you to e-mail your request to ksagarin@elmhurst.edu with a short description of the relationship of the conference to your teaching or research/scholarship/creative activity.  For a current list of upcoming topics, see: The MFS Website

  • Annual Lilly Conference on College Teaching
  • Each November, Elmhurst College sends a team of faculty to this conference celebrating the scholarship of teaching and learning.  Look for the call for team members in May.

  • CUR Conferences

Elmhurst College regularly supports the participation of faculty members in various CUR Institutes. Recently, faculty members have attended CUR Dialogs, Beginning a Research Program in the Natural Sciences at a Predominantly Undergraduate Institution, and Institutionalizing Undergraduate Research. Upcoming offerings can be found on the Council's web site: http://www.cur.org/conferences_and_events/
